“The Sign Depot” had its humble beginnings way back in 1988 when it was originally known as ‘Trim Plus Signs and Designs… Home of the Incredible Dr. Stripes!” But just how did it come to be, you may ask?
Well, it was on a cold and drizzly winter morning that the founder: Raul Cepeda Cortez frustrated and fed up with his present occupation as a telephone repairman decided it was time to come down off the pole and leave the phone company and never again look back, but instead opting to try his hand as an entrepreneur. “I can do this, I know I can” he said with the telephone wire still frozen to his fingers!
So after bumming his father and hansome twin brother Ruben for $312.25 he set off and started his own automotive pin striping business. In short time Raul now known as The Incredible Dr. Stripes was an instant success! Local auto dealers took a liking to Dr. Stripes ‘off the wall’ personality that they kept him and his now 10 man crew very busy for the next 17 years! He would stripe everything…even his own 98 yr old GRANDMA once when she had fallen a sleep on her rocker!!!
After setting the standard in the automotive customizing market Raul knew that there was an even greater opportunity in the retail end of the sign making business! So in the spring of 2005 Raul teamed up with his adorable twin brother Ruben and formed what is now known as ‘The Sign Depot’… Woo hoo!!
And ever since then The Sign Depot has continued to raise the bar to unbelievable heights! With state of the art lighting speed equipment coupled with award winning service and super low prices and great looks, you’ll find that The Sign Depot is hard to beat!!
